ICC Banking Commission Annual Meeting

International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), The world business organization in collaboration with China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and ICC China, is organizing the ICC Banking Commission Annual Meeting at the China World Summit Wing, in Beijing on 10-11 April 2019. This two-day flagship event will bring together over 600+ of the most influential trade finance experts, banking professionals, business leaders, lawyers and government officials from over 65 countries to debate the critical issues affecting the trade finance industry.
This year marks 100 years of ICC, with the event bringing together a record number of senior guests and industry experts to celebrate ICC’s numerous successes over the past century. At the same time, the Meeting will focus on future relevance and to explore and discuss on the ways in which the organization can help make business work for everyone, every day and everywhere over the next 100 years of global business. This year’s meeting will also discuss innovation and change within the trade finance sector, from the benefits of digitalization to the growing interest in sustainable trade finance and the enormous global potential of China’s Belt & Road initiative.
Asia-Pacific remains the world’s number one trade finance hub, with banks in the region processing US$6.3 trillion out of a global total US$9.7 trillion worth of trade finance transactions in 2017. In turn, China—as the world’s second largest economy and largest trading nation—is an ideal location for the event and a highly pertinent choice given this year’s theme “Leading the Way in Global Trade”.
The Annual Banking Commission Meeting will allow the bankers from Bangladesh to gain valuable knowledge from in-depth panel discussions. In addition to the formal sessions, this Meeting will also be a valuable platform for informal dialogue among the fellow delegates and experts to share ideas and experiences and enjoy an array of dedicated networking opportunities.
The 2-day Annual Meeting will be of significant benefit to Bangladesh Bank and the commercial banks officials/professionals of Banking and financial service sectors and International trade and development experts.
Certified Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS), Certified Specialist in Demand Guarantees (CSDG) participants will receive 12 (twelve) Professional Development Unit (PDUs) for re-certification by attending this workshop.
