About Me
Mr. Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury, a prominent and a visionary businessman of Bangladesh, was born in Dhaka on 23rd November, 1959. In 1983, he returned to his home soil with an inspiration to establish a business house. Being a visionary, he was able to recognize the future prospects of the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) Industry for Bangladesh, aiming to contribute to the well-being and prosperity of the country by generating employment and empowering a large section of the female population. His firm belief led him to set up his first venture, "Evince Garments Limited". From a small-scale beginning with 350 employees, he has successfully diversified operations across 11 industries (Garments, Textile, Design and Fashion, and Retail) employing more than 10,000 people. He firmly believes in private sector-led growth and promotes the view that micro and medium scale industries should be encouraged to generate employment smoothly.
