The FIT Initiative was launched at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the Dhaka city on Wednesday. Mahbubur Rahman, president of the International Chamber of Commerce – Bangladesh, inaugurated the programme which will provide advanced skills in the Finance of International Trade to the professional and those involved in international trade, said a press release.
The programme will also provide structured learning in the full range of Finance of International Trade products including documentary collections, factoring, invoice discounting, forfeiting, export credit insurance and other form of open account finance, Mahbubur Rahman said.
After the launching ceremony, he distributed certificates among the 82 participants from banking sector those who attended the ‘ISBP 2007 and UCP 600’ workshop.
It may be mentioned here that earlier on March 3 and 4 ICCB, also organised two workshops on Intemationa1 Trade Payment Practices for executives of RMG sector and bankers where about 200 participants took part.
