The second Business Advisory Council of UN-ESCAP and the Asia Pacific Business Forum 2011(APBF-2011) will be held in the United Nations Conference Centre at Bangkok, Thailand on 25 and 26 July, 2011. ICC Bangladesh President and Chairman & CEO of ETBL Holdings Limited Mahbubur Rahman, a member of the Council left Dhaka for Bangkok to attend the meetings, said a statement.

The UN-ESCAP Business Advisory Council and APBF will discuss about Assuming a Leadership Role in Economic Growth and Business in the Asia Pacific Region, Improving Business Connectivity in Asia and the Pacific, Ending Human Trafficking, Regional Trade and Investment Challenges and Opportunities in the Post-Crisis, Innovative Business Practices for Agricultural Sustainability and Food Security, Sustainable Business Practices for a Green Economy in different sessions.

During the Business Advisory Council meeting on 26 July ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman will moderate the session on “Innovative Business Practices for Agricultural Sustainability and Food Security”.

The newly co-opted Member of the Council Rokia Afzal Rahman, President of Bangladesh Employers Federation & Chair of Arlinks Limited, who is a former adviser to the caretaker government, is also at Bangkok to attend the meetings. Other member of the team is DCCI President Asif Ibrahim and ICC Bangladesh Secretary General Ataur Rahman will also join the meetings.
