South Asian Cooperation (SEACO) Foundation recently accorded a reception to bid farewell to the outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. Zet Mirzal Zainuddin and also to honour Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, President of International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICCB), on his being nominated as the “Presidential Friend of Indonesia.”

South Asian Cooperation (SEACO) Foundation recently accorded a reception to bid farewell to the outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Zet Mirzal Zainuddin and also to honour Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, President of International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh (ICCB), on his being nominated as the “Presidential Friend of Indonesia.”

It was attended by ambassadors, high commissioners of OIC member states, Board of Governing Members of SEACO Foundation, eminent business leaders, bankers, journalists, former diplomats, Honorary Consuls of Malaysia and Indonesia.

The function was addressed by Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Executive Chairman of SEACO Foundation, Ambassador Wajid Ali Khan Panni, former Deputy Foreign Minister, Abul Hasan Chowdhury, former State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador AKM Faruq to Indonesia, Monowara Hakim Ali, Indonesian Consul in Chittagong amongst others.

The speakers lauded the role of the outgoing Indonesian Ambassador in deepening Bangladesh – Indonesia trade and economic ties and hoped that he will contribute similarly after returning to Jakarta.

Mr Mahbubur Rahman thanked the Indonesian Government for honouring him and promised to work harder for strengthening bilateral trade relations between the brotherly Muslim countries.
