Envoys of the ASEAN countries based in Dhaka expressed their keen interest to invest in hotel, real estate and infrastructure sectors during their meeting with foreign affairs adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury at his office in Dhaka on February 7. Being a member of the ASEAN Regional Forum, Bangladesh and ASEAN have close relationship.

They also emphasized on exchanging business delegations between Bangladesh and the ASEAN countries apart from the government level contacts. They also praised the caretaker governments efforts to establish a role model for the future government in Bangladesh. They hoped the stalled elections will be held as soon as possible. Being a member of the Asean Regional Forum (ARF), Bangladesh and Asean have close relationship.
