ICC Workshop on Capacity building of MSMEs and Women Entrepreneurs for using ICC Rules in International Trade
Date : Sunday, 2 February 2025
Venue : The Peninsula Chittagong, Chattogram
Reg. Deadline: 27 January 2025
Over the last few decades, international business has experienced steady development all over the globe. Exporting aids the firms with renovations in business capacities which brings better efficiency by producing extra sources. To raise the efficiency of MSMEs, businesses need to recognize the way to boost their activities in the export market as exporting plays a crucial part to create higher values for them. In the economy of Bangladesh, the MSMEs are one of the most important pillars to its continuous developments. MSMEs in Bangladesh made up more than 99% of economic sector industrial facilities and also developed job chances for 70%–80% of the non-agricultural workforce. The contributions of MSMEs to the economy of Bangladesh are still negligible, with only 20.25 percent contribution to GDP as against 80 percent in India, 60 percent in China and 69.50 percent in Japan.
The Workshop has been designed for the benefits of MSMEs who are engaged in international trade, in particular engaged in export of non-traditional goods. The participants will have the opportunity to learn about dealing with international trade and understand the complex global trade finance scenario as well as how to take correct decision to avoid the risk of settlements of L/Cs.
Facilitator: Mr. ATM Nesarul Hoque, Executive Vice President & Head of MTB Financial Institution Services (MFIS), Mutual Trust Bank PLC.
