Due to price increases and consumer market expansion, the market volume would reach $500 billion by the year 2010.

A senior executive of World Halal Forum (WHF) stated that rapidly expanding Halal food sector with 1.79 billion Muslims of the world population has now become the central field of opportunity. The area of Halal food is rapidly expanding in other countries besides the Muslim states. In Britain only, the volume of Halal food has reached to four billion dollars.

Majority of meat producing countries throughout the world including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, UK and USA, are promoting the Halal slaughtering technique.
